Highlights from Agency Leadership Survey
We conducted research with over 150 agency leaders to determine the main pain points that are making this market so complex. We understand the problems and we know how to solve them. Here are a few highlights from the study.
The idea that growth of the business, and the health and wellness of the employee experience are not related is where agencies can run into real long term problems. Yes, in a down market there should be major effort on all things “growth”, but we should always find ways to nurture the culture and the employee experience. It doesn’t always need investment to flourish. Check back later for more tips on no investment ideas that make a big difference.
One of the most interesting data points from the survey was how the leadership answered the question about their desire to be in the office more that they currently are. Not only is a better In-Office policy needed across the industry, but this is a significant reason why there has been such an erosion of culture in agencies over the last three years.
New business development market has been very tough to navigate the last four years. Not only have budgets been inconsistent, but we are seeing less RFPs, less pitches for new business and the high inflation has left many clients on the sidelines. More than ever agencies are trying to use old relationships to build new biz, but that is not enough. They need to employ an effective outbound approach and outbound can be very tricky to dial in.
